“第九屆世界酒店論壇歐洲峰會暨第八屆五洲鉆石獎頒獎”于2016年6月13日-15日在比利時成功舉辦。6月12-23日，世界酒店聯盟代表團一行23人在比利時參加世界酒店論壇歐洲峰會暨五洲鉆石獎頒獎活動后，在歐洲五國進行酒店及旅游業的實地考察，包括比利時、荷蘭、德國、瑞士、法國的政府部門，行業協會、企業集團、品牌項目，以及酒店管理學院等。此次系列活動的圓滿落幕標志了世界酒店聯盟貫徹落實中國中央政府“一帶一路”戰略決策新行動，從陸上絲綢之路的“亞洲中心”中國出發，其足跡貫穿了歐洲五國大地。

本屆“峰會”由聯合國世界旅游組織、中國國家旅游局、比利時法蘭德斯大區、林堡省、根克市政府和中國有關部委積極支持，由世界酒店聯盟主辦和世界酒店聯盟北京代表處、上海泛旅文化傳播有限公司具體承辦，由比利時喜悅資本集團、世界酒店雜志社全程合作支持，并由多家知名企業集團和中外業界權威機構協辦，特別得到了貴州華星酒業集團特別協辦單位的大力支持。同時也得到了60多位歐亞酒店及旅游業人士和傳媒界人士的積極參與。根克市市長狄爾斯·文和法蘭德斯大區高官專門向代表團介紹了情況并隆重地宴請了代表團一行。

本屆“峰會”圍繞總主題“探索酒店業投資與合作新方向”，中歐旅游和酒店業協會會長及企業集團領導進行精彩的主題演講和情況說明。“峰會”同期還舉辦了“五洲鉆石獎”頒獎典禮活動，共有10家單位和個人獲得了該獎項。

“The 9th World Hotel Forum European Summit & The 8th Continental Diamond Award Ceremony” is held from June 13-15, 2016 in Belgium, which marks a new journey for World Hotel Association. WHA now marches into the global countries by the starting point from the European centre of One Belt One Road. 23 WHA delegates attended the World Hotel Forum European Summit and the Continental Diamond Award Ceremony in Belgium and also visited five European countries - Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and France for field trips on different hotel projects including government department, industry associations, enterprise groups, brand projects and hotel management colleges, etc.

This summit is specially supported by United Nations World Tourism Organization(UNWTO), China National Tourism Administration(CNTA), the Ministry of Commerce, Belgium, Belgian National Tourist Office, Brussels City Hall and Chinese related departments; hosted by World Hotel Association and organized by Beijing Office of World Hotel Association, Shanghai Pan-Tourism Culture Communication Co., Ltd. It gets the full support from HOCA Capital NV Belgium and World Hotel Press Office and also co-organized by various famous enterprise groups and international industrial authoritative institutions, specially supported by the co-organizer - Guizhou Huaxing Liquor Industry Group. Over 60 international professionals and media friends in hospitality field actively participated in this summit. Genk mayor Wim Dries and Flanders officials specially introduced the condition to delegates and solemnly feted them.
This summit is themed with “Probe into New Direction of Investment and Cooperation in Hotel Industry”. Presidents of various Chinese and European hotel associations and leaders of renowned enterprise groups give speech and dialogue is held among them. At the same time, "Continental Diamond Award" Ceremony is held, totally 10 units and persons got this award.
After the "Summit" and "Continental Diamond Award" Ceremony, 23 entrepreneurs and guests investigated in five European countries' tourism and hospitality industry.
